Brigit charges a subscription fee for the Plus and Premium tiers monthly. Unlike most subscription companies (e.g., Netflix, etc.), Brigit does not charge upfront or at the beginning of the subscription period. Instead, Brigit charges you at the end of the billing period—to match up with your last paycheck of the month. In other words, your first subscription fee and all subsequent fees cover the previous 30 days rather than the following 30 days.
Because our billing is structured this way, when you cancel your membership, you will still be charged for the current (and final) billing period. That final charge falls on the date your subscription was originally due, which may be after the day you cancel. Please note - this isn't an extra charge. Brigit will never charge you for a period in which you didn't have an active subscription.
Your Brigit App will always give you the date that your next subscription fee will be charged. In addition, when canceling or downgrading, the Brigit App will give you the date that your last subscription fee will charged.
